I can't seem to get my 2.8C(Rev D1) above 3300. Right now it's clocked at 3220 with a 230FSB running at 1:1. The cpu voltage is set to 1.575V and the RAM voltage is 2.8. AGP/pci is fixed at 66/33. I've ran prime for several hours at these settings and it seems fine.

I'm able to hit 235FSB but I have to set the divider down to 5/4, but I'd really like to be in the 240's or even 250. Even with the divider, I'm not able to get much higher then 235. My IC7 reports temps at 53C(@3220) during torture tests which is the same temp when clocked @ 2.8.

Temps reported are with the side panel of my case removed which seems to be optimal :\.
Room temp is ~70F.

I'm somewhat tempted to try to hit 250FSB without going through the 240's, but I'd like to hear what others have to say about doing that.
Also, are people with crazy overclocks getting them without running prime succesfully?

MB - ABIT IC7
PS - 430W TruePower Antec
HSF - Zalman 7000ACu w/ AS5
CPU - Pentium 4 2.8ghz w/ HT @ 3220
RAM - Kingston PC3200 @ 2.5:3:3:8
VID - ATI 9800 np

3D01 - 19000
3D03 - 6000

i don't know of any problems just trying 250 fsb right off the bat. my brother did that with his 2.4C and apart from a minimal voltage bump, it worked fine. that's the limit of his setup right now, but we're working on it.

the 'crazy oc' people are generally prime95 stable unless they state otherwise. good luck:)

Try changing your ram ratio to 5:4 and then raising the fsb some more.

Just got home and tried 250 at 5/4. Temps looked great (40C idle) but prime failed almost immediately. I upped the cpu voltage in increments up until 1.675V and then gave up on that idea. However, I just now put memtest86 in and have gotten 22068 errors so far. Will memtest86 give errors because a cpu is overclocked too much, or is something up with my ram?

I have some old Mushkin PC2700 RAM laying around that I'll try later.

i am having problems too...i am running

Abit IC7-Max3
2x512 XMS4000 Corsair TwinX
2.8Ghz P4, stepping 5 rev. m0

This is at stock vCore and 2.8VDDR and 1:1 divider...all i can seem to get to is a 235 FSB, i dont see what the limitation is now, unless its a heat thing, but i hear people are hitting over 235 easy on stock cooling so i can really see it being heat....also with PC4000 RAM surely wityh a 5:4 divider i should be able to hit a 250FSB easily?

After reading syphon's post and testing my PC2700 with no luck I'm pretty convinced that the cpu just won't go any higher.
