About two weeks ago I posted on HardForums with my busted PC...

http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=746252

The problem was suspected to be the processor because the POST Reported "System Failed CPU Test". So I RMA'd the processor, and just installed the replacement today... and guess what, no go. The EXACT same problem occured. No screen output, no boot sequence, just that annoying little voice that haunts me in the night "System Failed CPU Test". So now I am lost, I have already reset the RTC Memory on the MOBO and am wondering if anybody out there can gimme any help. DO you think its the motherboard or what? Any Tests I should do? Thanks for any help or condolences for a crushed ego... :(

Two CPUs with the same results? You can bet the farm that the motherboard is bad. If you have to RMA the motherboard to the same company that you RMA'd the processor to, and they accept it as well, kiss their butt. There's no program you can run to test it since you need a processor to do that.

It's hard to troubleshoot shit like that, so it's not your fault.

Well i bought all of the items from NewEgg, so if i really need to I should be able to RMA the motherboard there, though it will be a major pain in the ass... If that doesnt work or I cna't I'm going to call up ASUS and have them RMA it after their lazy techies get off their butts and return my phone calls :( , sorry, its just two weeks without my comp is starting to get to me....

Relax, New Egg is tops. They'll take care of you. Send in an RMA request for the motherboard and ship it back. I've read where people have sent back virtually everything at once (MB, CPU and RAM) and they had no problems with the Egg. New Egg is almost unequalled regarding returns. Just send all your future business their way.

I had the same thing happened to me with the same board. Luckily I had 2 processors to try I was pissed.Ive read some people just change the cpu fan and it works but not for me. I rmaed it and got the p4c800 deluxe I really like this board it compliments everything else I have

I had the exact same problem with my P4C800E Deluxe and 2.8C. I swapped CPU's with my wife's with the same results. I RMA'd the board and the replacement was fine.

Yes, go and do the RMA to Newegg. The process is so painless. You just need to pay for shipping to Newegg. Once they get the board back, they send replacement one out quickly.

I agree. Now just to find out if they take returns on a DVDROM my friend backed out on.

Hey just wanted to let you guys know that I ended up buying a new P4P800 Deluxe from NewEgg, i believe it is a newer revision than the previous one I had which is now Rv 3 according to the manual. Anyway I popped this baby in and it worked! Everything is back to normal and now I have time to go out and buy FarCry and finally get back to some unreal gameplay :D
