Was curious as to what some of you folks running a 2.8c get out of your overclocks. As I am basing my RAM decision on the basis that I will be running it at DDR500, (250fsb). So I would like to know before I order my processor and RAM that I'll have a good chance of hitting that mark?

Please post system specs if you are overclocking a 2.8c

Thanks

I had 2x256MB of PC4000 and I can only hit 3.3 ghz in Windows. 3.2 ghz prime 95 stable. It is a 12 cap D1 though

My sig should answer your question just fine. Just built her about 2 weeks ago, so no massive benchmarks yet but here's a few nuggets...

3D2001SE: 17,474
3D2003: 6,949
Memory bandwidth: ~4,950 MB/s
Sandra Multimedia bmark: 27,000ish/38,544
Stable in UT at 1024x768 and 3.485GHz (249fsb).

you can see my sig for mine also.

1.52v in bios (gives about 1.5v real) @ 265fsb ram 1:1
2.8c 30-caps

Check signature. I'm actually running it at 3.2 (233 FSB) right now, because I noticed a little weirdness at 3.4. I'm almost positive that it's my Value RAM causing this, but I'm going to play with the voltages a little. It's a 30 cap 2.8C, so I'm assuming the CPU isn't the issue. I haven't had a huge amount of time to try a lot of things yet. The only problem I had at 3.4 was that during heavy multiplayer games of UT2004 it would occasionally crash to the desktop. That was before I switched from my X800 Pro to my 6800 GT OC yesterday, so that may solve the problem too, as I had the X800 overclocked as well. I just threw in too many variables at once, and never eliminated all of them. Should have time to do some investigating this weekend though.

previous 2.8c 12 cap - did 3.21 stable

current 2.8c 30 cap (D1 stepping, not m0) - 3.5 stable at stock voltage 1.525v using stock intel hsf.
running ram at 5:4 divider since using Samsung PC-3200
motherboard is EPoX 4PDA2+ (Rev 2.0) i865PE mobo with 2.2 vagpv, 3.3vdimm, 1.85vcore

mine does 245mhz fsb(3430mhz) with vcore on the chip at 1.575 with an abit IS7-E and kingston value ram

I'm at 244 and still going up little by litte. hoping i can hit 250 with my pc4000 ocz gold

That 3dmark03 score is surely not what you are getting right? I mean you have a 9700 Pro at 350 core..

I have a 9800 Pro at 432 core/ 376 mem and got a score of 6501 with 3.64 Ghz of P4?

What's the secret.. link etc?

Here's the link to the futuremark results: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=2813573

Maybe my puter just freaked out or something, but it does seem reasonably fast for the specs and the 249 FSB doesn't hurt. The 4.7 cats I'm using have now been 'pulled' off the approved driver link by ATi, seems there is a bug regarding test 3.

something glitched in his proxycon test and caused the false high score.

I would bet he cannot repeat that score consistently.

hmmm i got 7,350 with the new drivers, thought the old drivers would give me a boost but i get LOWER scores with them

I was able to push the FSB to 142 without touching the voltage. Im running my FSB at 250 now with a voltage of 1.65. I could probably go further, but 3.5Ghz is plenty.
