$2800 will get you a top-of-the-line Athlon FX-55 (if you can find one) or Intel Extreme Edition based system with 300GB DiamondMax 10 RAID configured drives, 1GB CL2 memory, X850 or 6800Ultra graphics, 500W Dual 12V ATX 2.0 PSU, Pioneer DVR-108, Electroluminiscent Keyboard, Aluminum Case, and misc.

I know, I just built one for someone. The problem with the FX-55 is that the price keeps going up because they are hard to stock. Personally, I prefer an Intel EE (despite what the sheep herders say) mainly because I like the 925XE chipset. The problem with Athlon-based systems is the chipset designs don't compare to Intel's (although they try, eg: nForce4).

what can u build me for 2800?

A tower built out of 1400 cans of Spam brand luncheon meat, if one ignores sales tax and assumes exactly 2 dollars per 12 ounce can.

Hey, you asked!
