so here is the deal, this is my first overclock and i was not expecting much. here is the system:

Case: Thermal Take Xtaser 3 + 7 TT case fans
PSU: Thermal Take PSU 480W (520W max)
Mobo: Asus P4P800-DX
Chip: P4-2.6C Stock HSF Revision "D1"
Ram: 2 X 512 MB DDR-400 PC3200 (Super Cheap Ram) (it works fine)
Vid: G-force 4 MX420 (Temporary)
HDD: Maxtor 40gb (Raptor coming)
Optical: LG Dvd-Read/CD burn 48X

So i just set my ram divider at 5:4 and went up a few mhz at a time, and i got to 250FSB. it wont prime95 but it will at 3.1 ghz. but every game runs fine and everything so i am going to leave it.
Temps are impressive, 28C at idle and 44C at Load. I have tried increasing the Vcore but it doesn't fix the prime prob, just increases the temp as to be expected.
I keep hearing how the 2.4C is such a better overclocker bla bla bla, but this 2.6 is doing just fine.

If you have a suggestion for stability i would greatly apreaciate it.
