I'm putting together a new gaming build and planning to run an SSD for OS and programs while having a HDD for storage. It looks like I could run two 64GB SSD in Raid0 for about the same price as a single 128GB SSD.

Option 1 (2 64GB SSD Raid 0):

Option 2 (128GB sIgnle SSD):

I'm currently running raid 0 with my current rig with two 150GB velociraptors. I'm assuming 128GB should be plenty for a few high-end games, CS5 and the OS, right?

Any feedback appreciated!

Actually not for these drives. Because the C300 have GC. TRIM does not matter and you will get double the Sequential read speed by going RAID0 as well as other performance advantages with no risk of degradation. 2x64GB is definitely the better choice.

Do you know if these SSDs use Marvell port 9128? I've heard Raid 0 doesnt work well with this port...

GC?

for reads will be faster with the 2x 64gb drives in raid 0, but I would opt for a 128gb model fromt he get & later raid 0 it.. Also of note I wouldnt but a c300 new at that price since it was 5 bucks more then the newer Crucial M4

How much faster in read times would SSD in Raid 0 be compared to just a single SSD? Double?
