2-5fps difference between 760 and 770

Ive seen many reviews and ssome games they perform almost identical. Also the 760 is almost identical in performance with the 660ti.
 
Unless I'm mistaken your comparing a gtx 760 with a max overclock to a stock gtx 770. If you don't see the logic flaw in that then there's not much for me to say. Stock vs stock a gtx 770 is roughly 20% faster then a gtx 760.

You need to be comparing the bottom bar to the top bar for an apples to apples stock clock comparison between a 760 and 770. Then the standard 20-25% advantage of the 770 magically appears. The middle two are OC'd Hawks.

That said, Hawks are great cards. I still have two old 460 Hawks running in different machines.They've done extended folding and suffered lots of other abuse with nary a hitch.
 
For $320 + 3 games I'm contemplating a 770. An OCed 760 seems like a good deal, but I want something on par with my 7950 that I sold. The 780 I would prefer but at $179 difference I'm not sure the price to performance is worth it? What do you guys think?

I would say just save up the extra $100 bucks and get a used EVGA 780 vs going new. EVGA uses the serial so you should be fine in case anything happens, if you do new going with an aftermarket cooler can really make these things fly.

Atm I'm @ 1200/1650 on mine but can hit 1275/1750 when using max volts and fan @ 100% on a ref cooler. I would buy the AC III but they've been out of stock for over a month now.


But yeah go with a 780, the 770's at their price just aren't very good values and since the stupid bitcoin mining thing the value kind 7950@ $200 basically doubled in price so AMD doesn't have great value either. 780 will last you longer and it's just a OC'ing beast that scales very well.
