Im looking into replacing my current 320gb 7200 HDD in my macbook pro and would like at least 500gb and 7200....the only option out there is a seagate though. Ive heard go with a western digital 500gb or even 640gb 5400rpm drive and not to worry about the speed difference between the 7200. I do alot of video editing and think 200 would be better..but that leaves me with a seagate 500/7200 or a western digital 320/7200.....thoughts?

7200 for sure. The difference was night and day for me. even in normal office use :)

i bought a seagate 500/7200 to replace the stock drive in my HP HDX16

the seagate is quicker, hotter and noisier
