Hey all,
I finally have my rig together. I wanna know if this is a good overclock. I have an opteron 148 at 2.9Ghz w 1.45 V prime stable 24 hr. Its on a CNPS 9500. My temps are 21C idle and 34C load. Im on the NF41 Evga board with 2 gigs of Gskil HX at DDR 550ish at 1t 2-3-3-6. Am I doing well? do you think i can push the proccy harder with a ram divider?

Jeff

You seem to know a bit more about what the hell you're doing than your average first time overclocker. Nice brag thread, that's a very good OC. If you're only at 1.45, up the voltage and the OC. You know you want to! Drop your memory timings or use a divider if you have to!

Do I really need to up the voltage. At 1.45 V i can squeez out 3.1 Ghz but prime for only 20 min then fail. Its stable for BF2 but not prime what should i do. I dont wanna kill my Cabye.

1.5 is still a very safe voltage level. if you can get into prime at 3.1 at all on 1.45v you'd be sitting pretty at 3.1 unless your memory can't take it.
