Got bored with buying off the shelf systems that cost more than they're worth, so thought I'd build my own. I've had some help from my S6 (in the military), and here's the build we both came up with to meet my initial criteria:

1) Must stay under the $2,000 budget
2) Lots of storage
3) Be able to play/record TV shows whilst playing iTunes and playing WoW.
4) Hook up my home theater system.

Here's what I've purchased thus far:
a) Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold Series RSA00-80GAD3-US 1000W ATX 12V v2.3
b) Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 Dual TV Tuner/Encoder 1229 PCI-Express x1
c) AMD Phenom II x6 1090T Black Edition Thuban 3.2GHz
d) LITE-ON black 12x BD-R 2x BD-RE 16x DVD+R Blue Ray Burner
e) HT- OMEGA STRIKER 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card
f) Thermaltake Armor A90 Gaming Mid-Tower Chassis with Cable Management Water Cooling SSD Support
g) Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM
h) Western Digital 150 GB VelociRaptor SATA 10,000 RPM 16 MB Cache
i) 2x HIS Radeon HD 6850 1 GB (256bit)GDDR5 Eyefinity Display Port HDMI 2x DVI Video Card H685F1GD
j) 4x Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB 64MB Cache (Raid 5)
k) Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
l) GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5 AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD MOBO

Case came with 2 fans, bought 1 200mm fan just in case. Am I short on cooling for this rig? I'm also thinking about OCing my RAM and possibly (when I get smart enough) OCing my CPU.

I'm also looking for a monitor that will be able to compliment this build, no sense having awesome video cards but having a sucky monitor.

What do you guys think?

He isnt asking for build help. He is asking about cooling & a monitor specifically.

While most of it would not ahve been my choice as you spent alot more then needed I think. The only think I see that may be questionable is the PSU. I Am not sure of its quality. Everything else should be fine. I Also would not bother with the sound card unless you 1st use & find the on-board to be inadequate. Most on-board is pretty damn good anymore.

Cooling wise I think you'll be ok. Will want a new CPU cooler before overclocking though. As far as the monitor (s) go whats your budget & how much space do you ave?

The Coller Master Silent Pro Gold 1000W is not too bad: It is made by Enhance.

Looking for a monitor that's under $500, plays games & movies well, and is over 23inches. Space is not a constraint but the price limit is.

I only plan on OCing the RAM at this point. The Corsair Vegeance ram has a fairly large heatsink fins, will that be sufficient if I OC? I'll pick up a CPU cooler, just in case. They seem to be fairly cheap. Any recommendations?

Pardon if I violate some of the forum norms, still learning my way around this place.
