1gb or 2gb card?

Hi,

I am undecided between getting a new video card w/ 1 or 2 gig of memory.

Right now researching for XFX 6870 or 6950. Budget of less than 250.

I am coming from a GTX 260 with 2 Samsung 24" monitor. No gaming, just want some eye candy.

1gb is good enough.
1gb might be limited when you pull 12xAA and such as then the videoram is eaten up but unless you seek extraordinary AA a 1gb card is good.
and that happens in games that are rare also.
 
If it's not for gaming, then what kind of eye candy are you looking for? 1 GB is enough for you.
 
If you're not gaming, what kind of eye candy do you want that your GTX 260 can't provide?
