better for games such as ut2004, ut2003, call of duty etc? thats the highest my mobo supports :(

I would get the best ram you can afford, as in pc3500 or something, that way you will have it for future upgrades and wont have to go out and buy new ram. That is just what I would do, so if you are limited by budget, or the system you are on, get the cheapest stuff I guess.

the game doesnt mean sht.

im going to help you out. cause you seem new.

if you are running anything other than a 266MHz bus, get the 512MB of 3500 or whatever.

if your bus is 266, get the 1GB it will make a bigger difference.

the reason: 512mb is enough for you. with a 2Ghz plus cpu and a 333mhz or higher FSB...512 is best bet. if you have an older cpu, 266mhz, 1GB is best.

Get some PC3200 or 3500 so you can use it in your next rig

the rated speed of ram only means what its SUPPOSED to run at, getting PC2700 and running it at 133 FSB is useless. unless you plan to OC as much as you can, use the PC2100. in any case youll probabily get a lot more performance gain out of the 1 gig at slower speeds than the 2700 at slightly higher speed
