193p+ problem

Recently, I visited a friend's house who had a Samsung 930b. I really thought that the monitor was much more vibrant than my 193p+. Also, it didn't ghost nearly as much either. The colors looked better, it was much "cleaner", but the text looked worse and there were some blurring issues. Can you guys help me as to why his monitor looked better? I thought my model was supposed to be a lot better than the 930b. BTW, his settings are all default, he didn't calibrate or anything. Thanks for any input.
 
Hm, I don't know man. I had 930B for a few weekend and there were problems that made me return it on Monday. The biggest one was horrible backlight leaking, i think there was 1 dead pixel and maybe some color non-uniformity.

I got 193p+ 2 weeks ago and I gotta say I like it a lot more. No leaking, no dead pixels, the only thing that I seem to notice sometimes is that the left side is a little lighter than the right side, so for example the white on the left is slightly different thatn the one on the right. It's kinda minor, but you can notice it.
I'm also runnning DVI and 930b was ran on analog so might be a difference.
Both LCDs ghosted very little, I don't notice any ghosting on this one in games, but on some websites and in some situations I can see it, however, that's ok cause all LCDs have some kind of blurring. And I can't see it in games or movies, which is what counts.
Try calibrating ur thing, mess with settings...I think this LCD looks awesome, games look just fantastic. I had to do a lot of setup though.
 
As for ghosting, your buddy has a fast TN panel, whereas you've got a fast PVA panel. You can display more colours, have better viewing angles, but your response times might be a little bit slower.

I'd keep the 193P+.
 
As for the vibrancy of the colours. The 193P+ is entirely configured through the DVI and software in windows instead of having OSD controls if I'm correct.. So I don't know how the backlight intensity is adjusted, hence if the 930B has a higher backlight intensity by default, the colours would seem more vibrant. That's my theory anyways...
