1920x1080+ Widescreen LCDs?

What are your recommendations for widescreen LCDs with at least a native resolution of 1920x1080?

Please list monitors with pricing.

Also, I do not want to hear about the Dell or Apple monitors. I am interested in other options right now.

Those are the two big ones, I would think that most other widescreens the same size and resolution would use the same panels, atleast for now.
 
ummm... maybe you go to cnet.com and search using their filters? Instead of someone here doing that for you?

I can do that, but I want opinions from users on this forum. If you do not want to state a price, then fine. Just let me know your opinions on the top monitors. There has got to be other good gaming/movie 1080p PC LCD monitors besides Apple and Dell.
 
uhm, then search? there's a big thread on HP 23" LCD and some others like Samsung and so on? :p
 
Apple and Dell's widescreen displays do 1920x1200 (16:10) not not 1920x1080 (16:9), unless you're just asking for a monitor that can display full 1080 then I haven't heard of any bad widescreen LCDs. They mostly use the same panel making them all look relatively the same. Feel free to correct me, but I say go for low price

Dell 2405FPW is the best and u can get it at around 860 by calling this guy I know from DELL :D Best monitor out IMO

Also, Have you searched new egg and filter out the Resolution?
I think LG and Sony have panels but they are almost twice what the 2405FPW costs and are not as good 25 ms vs 12 ms. They use different panels

The Dell screen WILL do 1920x1080 as well as 1920x1200. It's just that the latter is the native res.

I understand that Dell's (my) 2405 does actually do 1920x1080 when the input is such, leaving a small 60 pixel margin at both top and bottom. That it goes up to 1200 vertically is probably some PC thing making implementation easier for that particular application.

I might expect one of the Hi-Def LCD TVs to do 1080, though it wouldn't surprise me if it went up to 1200, particularly if it sported a DVI connector.
