For all of you that are thinking about getting the 24" dell and an sli rig please keep in mind that with current drivers for the 6800 series nvidia cards, you cannot game at the pannels native resolution. There is a bad syn issue with sli and that resolution. I have tried every driver out with not one correcting this issue.. You can game at 1680 X 1050 with no problems. The image quality is great at that resoution as well. I have read this is only an issue with the dvi connection but I have had it happen with both analog and dvi.. Its not a deal breaker just something to keep in mind...

Super, I have a 2405FPW and a pair of 6800 Ultras on their way to me right now. :( I was looking forward to Half Life 2 at 1920X1200.

Can you actually run this screen (2405fpw) at 1680x1050?? I've gone through my display properties, World of Warcraft, HL2 and Far Cry, and non of these offer that resolution as an option. I'm using an ATI X800 XT PE card though...

You say you can't game at max res, but can you display the desktop and run apps at 1920X1200? And have you tried it using regular a regular VGA connection?

I am sure there will be a driver fix as well.. I must have reformated and loaded 10 drivers from nvdia. They say it SLI is supported up to 1920 X 1200 at 60hz with reduced blinking but it just doesn't work right now.. Google SLI Widescreen Issue and you will see posts from other forums. I was pretty upset myself when I found out. I mean I just dropped 2 grand on cards, motherboard, PSU, and a display. As far as that res not showing up.. Make sure you have the latest ATI driver and the LCD's driver loaded. Mine looks great at that resolution.. No ghosting or tearing.. I was pulling 120 Frames a second at 1680 X 1050 with everything maxed out in CSS with 6AA and 16x filtering... Yes I can display native resolution at destop and even game at it without SLI enabled. Just can't take advantage of the second card. The destop works fine with SLI enabled by the way.. Yes I have tried the VGA connector.. no luck here but others have had luck..

Strange!! I had a 2005FPW before the 2405FPW and it worked fine at 1680x1050 with these current drivers (cat 4.12 - yeah I realise that they're 3 months old but they've not given me reason to upgrade until now). The native (and higher) res of 1920x1200 works fine using my current drivers too.

Just to check, this is using the DVI connection right?

Yep that is with DVI.. Mine works at native res with DVI with SLI disabled as well. It seems to just be a sync problem with sli, widescreen and that resolution..

Got my box set up today and I have the same issue, at 1920X1200 in HL2 the screen "jumps" constantly. I can play at 1680X1050, but not at native res. I'll try Doom 3 tomorrow.
