I just installed a DangerDen waterblock on my 1900, and now i can't get a picture on the monitor. I cleared the cmos, and tried switching pci-x slots with no luck. When i turn the system on, the two red lights on the 1900 light up, then one goes off, then the other goes off. I don't think i installed it wrong, or messed anything up, but you're never really sure. Any help or suggestions? I removed the fan obviously, but even when i tried connected it with the fan plugged in it didnt work. Any ideas?

Ok stupid question... Your Title says SLI. Your card(s) is X1900xt, which I'm sure you know is a not compatible with nVidia's SLI. You are using a Crossfire MB right?
 
My cousin posted this thread for me. Anyways, when I put the stock fan and heatsink on the ATI X1900XTX card, it works. I have followed the instructions on ATI's site to a T and still nothing on the monitor (yes the power cable is plugged in the side. I am wondering if there is a ground that is missing or if you need the stock fan plugged in to make it work. Anybody have any problems like this when trying to use a water cooling setup for the GPU or know of any compatability issues? Thanks..
 
Plug the stock fan and set it somewhere safe while your waterblock is attached. Sometimes CPU's and GPU's have a fan protection system; they don't operate if the fan's aren't turning or plugged in.

Note that this is only for testing. You may be able to rig something up to act like a fan, but actually do nothing, later on.
 
I have an 1800xt, that I have a Water Block on, and never had a problem from day 1. Perhaps something is shorting to the board with the Block hardware maybe?

Yeah... OP, what specific water block are you using on it?
