Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
im pretty sure im goign to buy the 1900XT but is there really a big difference between the two because i dont wanna pay like the extra 50 bucks for the 1900XTX if its not that much better
All xtx cards have 1.1ns RAM. Some xt cards do, others will havr 1.2ns RAM. I ordered a PowerColor x1900xt and got 1.1ns RAM and flashed the BIOS to that of an xtx. $50 upgrade for free. There is, of course, always a slight risk involved in doing something like that, but it is an option if you're [H] enough
I decided on the X1900XT. CCC is curently overclocking it to 689 Core and 797 memory. No artifacts or anything like that. Also my STOCK heatsink is almost inaudible and the max temp I've seen is only 62 Celsius. Which really blew me away after reading all the stories of how loud and hot these things get.
if you plan to do any serious overclocking then go XTX as they tend to OC much better. My XT maxed at 710/805 where as my XTX will go up to 760/892 for benching and i run games at 710/840.
