Ati Tool .25 Beta 10 is reporting my Core as 499 and mem as 594. What should my clocks be? I tried finding my max core and stopped it after 30 minutes after it seemed to be stuck on 577. then I just barely oced it to 525/625 and it crashed pretty quick. I have the Accelero X2 installed and at default the max temp is 72C w/ no artifacting at all. It also seems to run just fine at defaults w/ comparable performance to my previous 7900Gtx so I'm not pissed just a bit confused. Is the Ati tool accurate? Ati overdrive is useless IMO wtf does it do really? Ocing is bewildering with it.
 
it displays 2d clocks which are 500/600

when the ati services detect 3d application it changes the clocks to 3d

625/725 for xt and 650/775 for the xtx ,

if you want to overclock with atitool you need to change the core voltage to 1.4v
which is the 3d core voltage

you dont need to mess with the ram voltage, it usually wont help the oc much

if you dont think like you can handle it use the automatic CCC overdrive

and by the way , the latest atitool is beta14, you should use that
 
yeah ati tool is gibving me cannot detect bios please contact manufacturer error msg. oh well, it runs great atm no need to oc anyway.

If your running the latest beta version of ATITool it should detect the BIOS but you will have to disable a process when it prompts you to that does away with the separate 2D and 3D speeds and you have to run the card at the same clock speed all the time. I'd rather not do this myself because its not hardly worth the small boost in performance for the card to be running at those speeds in 2D as well.
