19"lcd compared to 22"

Hi, i currently have a viewsonic 22" vx922. i really like it. but im looking for a new monitor. i have been looking at the 22" and i think i would end up getting one. now one thing i noticed was that the 22" monitors have the same resolution as teh 20" monitors, will the image look less sharp than it does on my 19" that has a 1280x1024 resolution? like would a standard 1280x1024 have sharper images than a 22" with 1680x1050.


well basically im asking would images look better, the same or worse on the 22" compared to the 19"

Oh and im looking at the samsung 225bw and the Sceptre x22wg.
 
It's not stretched out at all. The pixel pitch (e.g. the space between each pixel) will be greater, but its not any greater than that of a 19" compared to a 17".
