I am looking for a relatively cheap (under $500) LCD monitor for use for gaming and photography.
The Dell 2209WA used to stand out above the rest due to edge to edge color uniformity, good contrast/shadow/highlight detail, colors, and little to no light bleed.
What stands out now? No TN panels please. PVA is preferred. IPS is considered. If anyone has a used LCD2490W-BK in good condition I'd be big into that... have they managed to make an upgrade to that yet? I know its last couple of replacements fell flat and weren't really improvements.
