Only launched in Taiwan at the end of this month or early December. They'll probably be launched in the rest of the world by Q1 08. This is still good news though. At least prices are coming down.
If it was 189 for a BD player i'd be excited. This means diddly to anyone except the 1200 or so PC nerds that will buy one. Couldn't you buy a combo for like 280 starting 2 weeks ago or something? I'd say that makes this pretty much useless, and obviously ANY pc drive is useless in having any kind of influence on the format war.
