18"+ LCD with best IQ?

I'll be ordering a few more parts for my new system soon

35W AXP-Mobile 2400+
Abit NF7-S v2.0
Mushkin 222 special (already have)
Gainward 5700U Dual-DVI
WD 74GB Raptor (already have)
Coolermaster Wavemaster (already have)
Antec TRUE 430W PSU (already have)
NEC 2510A (already have)

Since I usually only play RTS games (HOMM 2,3,4, SC:BW, WC3:TFT, WC2, RoN, AoEII, AoM) I think this system should easily be able to handle 1600x1200 res for those games. As a result of my game genre, I don't need a low response time LCD so my first priority is desktop and 2d Image Quality. I'll have around $1600 for the two lcds and my original intention was to pick up 2 Dell 2001FPs when they go on sale but the screen door effect would drive me nuts and I don't need the low response time.
I used the Samsung 172T for a couple months and absolutely loved the colors on that panel but there was a faint screen door effect that I noticed from time to time. I'm currently using a Mitsubishi 930SB which is fantastic but I want to salvage what little there is left of my natural eyesight (I'm blind as a bat without my contacts :D ). Are there any 18"+ lcd equivalents to the 930SB? What I'm basically getting at is that I need some recommendations on 18"+ LCDs with excellent desktop and 2d IQ. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you guys may have!

If response time isn't an issue I'd go with the Dell fp1901 from dell.
 
do you know if the monthly 20-25% off monitors at dell's site encompasses ALL monitors they sell or only dell's panels?
 
I have a mitsu nx85 (18.1") and it is easily the clearest monitor I have ever owned. Its max res of 1280x1024 though.

Nope, I need to know tho. How can I be informed of monthly specials and or sales like this. I'm looking at the 17" Samsumng 710T
