I've been searching for a good 17'' LCD monitor for the last week, however the decision seems to be very difficult. I've read tons of reviews and have almost come to a conclusion as to which monitor to get...

I'm between the Samsung 173T and 173P. I've read very good reviews for both monitors and had decided to go with the 173T since it runs at 612 euros whereas the 173P's price is 723 euros, however extremeoverclocking has found that the ghosting effect on the 173T is a bit too much...

That's why, it would really be helpful if owners of those two monitors posted their comments on the matter. I'm not a huge fan of gaming, however I do enjoy playing games every now and then, so if ghosting is too much, it may become disturbing.

Owner's feedback would help a lot.

you won't be dissapointed with the 173T ghosting issues, they are very faint. once you use them for a week you probably will never notice them again.

i play many FPS games, UT2K4 and Far Cry. no problems whatsoever because of the lcds.

173P is for sure a better lcd, but its quite new and very expensive. my advice is to go to a store, and see if you can compare demo models side by side to see if its worth your money. i know i'm happy with my 173Ts.

Thanks for the feedback... How about image quality and color reproduction ? I've been reading that the 173T supports 16.2 mil colors which makes me think it's actually 16bit color with dithering (true 24bit color is 16.7 mil). Whereas on the other hand, the 173P supports true 24bit color... And unfortunately, there aren't available in any store here to check them...

So how accurate is color reproduction, image sharpness and image quality in general ?

And last but not least, how is the viewing angle of the monitor ? Cause as you can see in this thread, a 1760NX user posted pics of his monitor and the narrow viewing angle is very annoying... I've been hearing that the Samsungs have a much wider viewing angle than the 16ms panels, however an owner's opinion is better than any review out there.
