172x VS 2001fp for gaming

I'm getting a new LCD screen and am not sure which to get.

I want it to be good for gaming and windows, money is (almost) no object.

If you guys say the 172x has a better pic quality in windows and fps games then I'd sacrifice size for quality. Is the meshing effect in windows very noticable compared to a laptop say?

Also, the native res is v high on the 2001, maybe having a lower res would be better for games so I can have all the eye candy switched on?

So which will it be?

The 172x is Sharp, Bright, Good coloring, great for games.

I run on ut2k4 with vsync on and it's beautiful.

I love my 172x :D
