I was wondering if there were any tweaks for the Samsung 172x. The colors on here kinda sucks compaired to some viewsonics ive seen. the colors just arent crisp. any help will be great. thanks.

I use brightness at 60 and contrast at 50.
That looks pretty good to me.
I dont know about any tweaks though.

That looks real dark for me, i had bright 100 and cont 80

I cant do it straight on my monitor. maybe ill have to use magic bright or natural color?

You know, it's real dark until you get used to it. Then you pretty much have nothing to complain about. I have two 21" CRT's, both bought at very different dates. When their brightness and contrasts are maxed out, the most recent one outshines the other by a dizzingly high amount. I just did the smart thing and put the recent one at a similar bright/cont level compared to my other CRT so it can last longer. Then that's when I realized...
Your eyes can get used to any sort of brightness, but the lower, the better because it is dangerous to have extremely high brightness struck at your eyes. It's all about common sense and comfortability.

try turning your digital vibrance and sharpness up. That made a world of a differnece for me.
