172x to replace CPD-G420S?

I'm thinking about getting myself a Samsung 172x to replace my Sony CRT on my main rig. You guys think it's a worthy replacement or should I wait another year or so? I'm not overly concerned with the loss of an inch in viewable size.
 
I'm actually in the same boat as you. I have the exact same monitor. Well I used to. I kind of left mine at school because I didn't want to pay shipping for it :eek: and now I'm using my parent's monitor. From what I've read I think the 172X will be a good replacement for the 420 though.
