*I apolgize if this is a repost, but the search function is disabled and going back 9 pages didn't yeid anything*

I have and abit nf7-s and 1700+ t-bred (AIRGA stepping), I haven't been paying as much attention to the computer scene as I used to, and I'm curious if my setup should unlock the t-bred, and what multis should be unlocked. Any help for this noobish question would be appreciated.

Any nforce2 board will have it unlocked. Forget what multipliers there are though :( That board is real stable and I hear that chip OCs extremely well :) Good luck!

not all NF2 boards will do like the NF7 will tho...ABIT gives you the option for ALL multis...where as ASUS allows only up to like 12.5 if memory serves right...im at work and too damned tired right now lol

tbred A's are factory unlocked as well? I knew tbred B's were, but i wasn't sure... arr matey.

thanks for the info, I think my problem was that I was upping the multi and leaving the voltage at 1.49. It's running @ 1.67ghz with 1.6v core now, hopefully it stays stable over the next few days and I'll crank it up more.

I'm not an OC expert, but aren't you supposed to raise the FSB and keep the multiplier at like 10 or 11? I thought having a comp clocked at like 2 ghz with like 200x10 was better than one that was like 133x15? or 166x12?

that method would give me more mem bandwidth as well as a higher proc speed, but puts my ghetto ddr2100 at risk, so I'm happy with just a simple multi OC.
