17 inch LCD screen @ 1600x1200

Do they exist? Did a quick search at newegg, and other places. Can't find a monitor at that res smaller than 20 inches.

why the hell would you want a smaller monitor?

Currently, only the 20" lcds have 1600x1200.

I've seen laptops with 15" (I'm pretty sure, maybe they were 17") that do 1600x1200, so it's not like those LCDs don't exist...just that manufacturers haven't seen fit to sell those displays as stand-alone products.

Thanks guys.

BBnet3000, the price tag of a 20"+ lcd screen maybe? Just a thought. Unfortuantly i have yet to rise to the level where money has no meaning to me.

The Dell 2001fp is probably the best value, it has been had for $750-$800 either on sale or with a 20% off peripherals coupon.
