Hey guys,
I just built my new system, and as I had in my previous build, I installed O&O Degrager.
As I always do, anytime I get a new motherboard, I'll format my system. Everything was fine - I installed all of my programs, then attempted to defrag. It showed I had 37% fragmentation. So I defragged. when it was done, it's now showing 17%, but no matter how many times I defrag, it will NOT change. I look at the log file, and all the fragments are mainly windows files, so it says - it also lists them under "locked" files.
However, if I open up the windows defragmentation utility, it shows I have 0% fragmentation. I'm not quite understanding what;s the issue . . .
I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling O&O - no dice.
I was thinking about throwing diskkeeper in just to see if it picks up 17% or 0% fragmentation - what do you guys think?
Thanks!
