Well I have a new ASUS P8P67 board and was wondering how bad would two 6950 perform at 1920x1080 on it? also I was curious if it wont work well wtf are all SB motherboard's (most) at 16x 4x?
 
because intel doesnt want to take away from lga-1366, they want to milk whats left of the socket while they can. there probably isn't a huge performance loss between 16x/4x crossfire. but theres no reason to run crossfire @ 1920x1080. if you were running 2560x1600 or eyefinity then i'd say sure go ahead and try it.
 
There is a performance loss compared to x8/x8. Here are the 3DMark11 numbers when I ran 6950CF @ 840/1325. Please note that the drivers were slightly different (8.820.2.0 vs 8.790.6.2000). I swear all other settings in CCC were equal.

Actually i have a few game's where i need way more fps, and some are quite old.
 
Most decent boards on P67 will do 8x/8x, only the budget ones will do 16x/4x. Even 16x/4x has no appreciable effect on performance in the real world (3dmark11 is not the real world :p), but if you want the best performance, you'll want to pay more.
8x/8x vs 16x/16x is a complete non-issue.
