Simple question: is 16ms repsonse time on an LCD monitor "good"? I mean, will I see much ghosting, or will it be okay? Thanks!
 
If you were a CRT gamer then yes, you will notice some ghosting in really fast games. But everyone perceives ghosting differently, some people are fine with 16ms, some cannot stand it. So have a look for yourself before you invest.

Well, I don't use a CRT monitor anymore, haven't for a while now, so I'm used to the "ghosting" my current LCD gives me. I have no idea what the response time is for it, it didn't even say on the box, but the thing I noticed is the "blurriness" my mouse cursor has when it moves. I used a dell LCD monitor at work, and the mouse cursor moved just as smoothly as it would on a CRT, but on my monitor, I notice bluriness, so I was wondering, for a person that's used to (possibly) a cheap LCD monitor, would I notice a difference in an NEC brand LCD monitor with a 16ms response time?
 
May I ask what make/model is your current LCD? Well I have used 'cheap' LCDs in the past (probably 25ms or more), and comparing those with my current 16ms BenQ FP791 I do notice an improvement in lets say... cursor smoothness ;) .
 
im using a 2405 and i think tahts 12ms? or 16? i never quite kenw but i dont see any ghosting, actually i see a different problem, some sort of vertical sync like effect, anyone else getting it?

as for your blurry mouse, you probably have a 25ms monitor your using thats probably why, i would actually go for 12 ms if you can find one, i've never seen 16 but supposedly 2405 is 16? no idea, but mine is fine.
