Hi,

I just bought my first TFT. iiyama ProLite B2409HDS-B1 .
The native resolution ist 1920x1680. when I set the resolustion to 1680x1050, everything become blurry.. is there any software that will correct the ratio automatically?
I bought this monitor for my parents, the text on 1920x1680 seem too small for them... please help

Mike

Best solution IMO would be increase font size, go to Display Properties > Appearance > Set font size to Large or Extra Large.
and depending on the web-browser hit CTRL and + a couple times to increase font size.

thank you tuaarita, I will try that in a min.

I have a 24" Sony FW900 CRT monitor running @ 1680*1050 and the size is very comfortable. I would be the best TFT(size) for my parents in your opnion?

You could try setting the DPI to large or even moving the monitor forward some. BTW, this monitor uses a 16:9 aspect ratio (1920x1080), so setting it to a 16:10 aspect ratio (1680x1050) will squish things vertically a bit. I think that 1280x720 would be the next step down in 16:9 resolutions, so I'd recommend that one. Running at anything other than the native resolution is less than ideal, but you should at least keep it at the same aspect ratio.

Have you considered a 30" 720p (1366x768) HDTV? This choice would certainly solve the "font too small to be readable" problem.

thank you all for the helps :D

after contacting the support, you have to manual adjust the size if using lower resolutions.
i tried 1280x720 and its still blurry. and 30" would be out of my buget..

the best solution i have found is like tuaarita have mentioned. overall its quite a nice monitor. they are happy :D
