I've got an old dell 22" TN panel. I'd like to pick up 2 more and a 5800 series card and run them in eyefinity. Problem of course is I need a DP ready monitor with (at the very least) an identical resolution and (for consistancies sake) a similar panel. This TN I've got now tints green and has a horrible backlight bleed, but it was cheep, and its big.

Anyways, right now dell has their 22" professional series on for $200, which is a pretty good deal considering its one of the few DP input'd 22" TN panels around. If i miss this deal, are the other monitor manufacturers going to transition their current 1680X1050 stuff into a DP ready condition or are they going to be obsoleted and replaced by those (imho) obnoxiously wide 1920X1080 22" IPS monitors?

thanks for any help!

Everything taller than 16:9 is being phased out from the looks of things.

well in that case, what would you guys suggest I do if I'm looking for triple 22" 1680X1050 setup? I've currently got a single old E22 (TN, 1680X1050).

I'm thinking either a dell G22 and a P22 or two G22's and an active DP to DVI converter (runs $100). The latter is ~$20 more expensive but will offer better consistency.

I'd go p22 and g22. That way, you get a quite nice stand, and no messing with adapters
