165 Issues - Slower than before?

Hi, I have a DFI Lanparty Ultra-D, teamed up with a 165 Opteron, and 2GB of OCZ Platinum Ram at 2.5 3 5 and a Zalman 7700. I oc'd this baby to 270FSB x 9, 1.45V a few days ago. I tried to go up, but the computer kept resetting, bc it couldn't handle the load. I tried reverting back to 270FSB x x9 @ 1.45V, but now it won't load at all, and keeps resetting before it can even backup my CMOS. The temperature is pretty cool (38 degrees in bios), so I'm pretty sure its not an overheating problem. My CPU can't even seem to OC to 220 FSB anymore and I am now typing this on the stock 200x9, 1.35v. I ran Prime95, and received errors at STOCK SPEED! The temperature is at a measly 34 degrees Celcius too. Anyone know what's going on?
 
tried the RAM settings posted for my particular RAM, updated my BIOS to no avail. i'm really lost.
 
Ram settings. DFI's are not for new people. I suggest heading to DFI Street and reading up. It took me several days when I got my first DFI to get my ram timmings the way I like them.
 
I got it to work. Thanks for everyone spending time to look and answer/help me.

I had to put up a divider for my RAM. I went with Ryder's RAM config for my exact RAM, but his DRAM Freq was incompatible with my board (althought he says it is for my mobo). Its too bad following his config threw me off for 2 days.

ram divider has nothing to do with the board. its the speed your ram runs at in relation to your cpu speed. This problem was caused by you not correctly understanding how ram dividers work in a64's. Your ram would have been running at 270mhz without changing the divider. But this should not have effected stability at stock speed.

Perhaps you should read eclipses guide at the top of the page. Ryders info is usually pretty good. Nailed it perfectly for my ram on my DFI.
 
No, his settings were for me to set it at 200 1:1. my ram doenst allow that for my OC.
 
well when people buy DFI, normal they are somewhat experinced in O/Cing. That was guide just to get the board up and running for noobs :p DFI know most who buy there boards know there limit of the ram, cpu, or know how to find them.
