Okay I am about ready to drop some cash on 3 new LCDs but I really want 16:10 format.

My question concerns gaming and eyefinity on 16:10. I notice now that almost all games being made now come supporting 1920x1200 res. But does eyefinity support 3 LCDs running that res?

Or do I need to be looking at 16:9? I dont wanna screw myself.

Thanks!

You can absolutely run 3 x displays @ 1920x1200 in eyefin. I was using 3 16:10 in portrait mode for a while until I got sick of the v-sync and driver problems. I havent tried since about 10.9 though so it may have improved. Make sure its what you want to do because I dropped alot of cash in new displays and then ended up switching to a single large LCD as a result of the above. It's definitely lots of fun though. Also, some say that 16:10 landscape can be a little too much horizontal real-estate. I suppose its all preference here though. GL

It's certainly better than 16:9 x3, I run that and it can definitely be a bit overwhelming.

I am running 3 Asus 22" 16x10 monitors now in eyefinity and it works great. Source games LOVE it. I run at 5292x1050 after bezel compensation is enabled.

Since I am new to eyefinity well soon to be what exactly is bezel compensation. I can google it but you folks here know way more than stupid google.

It renders the whole image as one big pane but includes pixels as if there was picture behind the black bezels around your screen. This is done so portions of the image don't "jump" from monitor to monitor when they hit the edges of the screens.

Only issue I'd advise you to investigate is whether you might need the expensive kind of Display Port adapter versus the cheap one - assuming the monitor you're buying has no Display Port. I know that the cheap adapter supports 5760x1080 but I don't know about 5760x1200.

Others here probably do though.

The cheap adapter does support 1900x1200 according to the specs, they just seem to like to use the name 1080p every chance they get.
