Does anyone have any links comparing 15k SCSI drives to raided drives that have slower RPM speeds? Like something comparing a 15k cheeta to 2 10K Raid0 raptors?
My friend has the cheeta, and says "It's faster because the seek time is lower than either of the raptors. It handles more requests from different locations on the hard drive faster in normal use. It may not have as good a MB/sec throughput as the raptors, but that doesn't matter as much in normal use."
Is he right? Can someone prove him right or wrong with links comparing them?
Thanks
