Is that with the system in your sig? Only 1 single 8800 GTS G92?
If so, that is one heck of a score.

My system in my sig gets a score of 12900 and that's not a bad score.

Yes, it's with the system in my signature.

8x400, 1.34v, Quad Prime stable @ 70/68/68/70C for 24hr
Single 8800GTS 512MB at overclocked speeds in original post

At 2800MHz and stock GPU clocks the original score was 141xx

post a comparrison link on furturemark here, and post a screenie here. I am a doubter.

Sure hold on, give me like 15 minutes!

Why would I lie?

BTW: Just want to mention. 3DMark06 incorrectly reports CPU speed as 3600MHz, CPU speed is 3200MHz. I will have CPU-Z/GPU-Z open as well.

Also, for some reason, 3DMark06 crashes on si3.dll before I can even run 3DMark if I don't force Windows 2000 compatibility mode. I have reinstalled it twice but it doesn't change. This is the only oddity I have noticed with my new system.

Running 3DMark now, look here in 10 min for screen + link

Quads score higher in 3DMark because of CPU score. I believe 15k. I score 13k with an E6750 and an 8800GT

Still think I'm lying?

So this is a really good score?

For reference my E6400@3.4 and 8800GTS 640MB scored around 11K. This was on my old system, P5B Deluxe

buddy thats a great score. my system (see siggy) does 13207 - I thought THAT was hot.... maybe if i tighten up memory timmings and boost the oc on my GTS- I could break 15K ?, does benching on an 30 inch LCD hold me back?

You probably need a Q6600, or any Quad, to break 15k without SLI I bet

i was thinking just that..... maybe someone's wants to part with a quad?;) , maybe you should start at 15k - 3dmark 06 club. thread.- Id like to see the siggys and compare them - this score should be able to play crysis, oblivion etc well. in the 40 - 50 fps I'll bet

Why do your System properties show you running at 3.6Ghz and CPU-Z at 3.2?

thats a cpuz bug, it records the default multiplyer which is 9 - thats why its calls it 3.6 it happens to me too and many others

I can't make sense of what you said. If CPU-Z only records the default then it would also show 3.6, but it shows a 8X multi with 3.2Ghz. It seems like Windows only sees the default here and shows 9X, but which one is correct.

I never had that happening, so I'm just curious.

his correct speed is 8x400= 3200; but windows and cpuz records 9x400=3600

This bug is well documented and much reported for years

seems fine to me.. i get 14k with my 8800gt @ 700/1000 cpu @ 3.2

i got 15k pushing my cpu to 3.8.. its not stable, but it ran the test, ahahaha

I am the OP.

With my previous setup, two days before my P5B Deluxe shit all over itsself I played Crysis fine at 1600x900 on my 42" 1080p Philips HDTV.

All graphic options were on high I'm pretty sure, but I could be wrong.

That system scored 11K in 3DMark06 (E6400@3.4, 8800GYS 640MB)

I'm really liking my new 512MB GTS, too.

Those are some nice scores, but what you really should be looking at are SM 2.0/3.0. Those aren't anything special with the 8800GTS 512. A bit higher than my 8800GT. 3DMark06 just puts a huge chunk of your score with what you get with your CPU, which is def not your bottleneck. But very nice scores indeed.

Which Windows you running? Sorry if I missed that. That is a great score. I got over 15.2 in XP SP2 with my Q6600 at 3278mhz and my Ultra at 650/1620/1134. In Vista X64 however I only get like 14.1k. Huge difference. That is with my Q6600 at 3400mhz now too.

Shit, I got only 13K with e6700@3.4GHz and GTS512 830/2100/1850...
Is it because I dont have a quad? I think that score i 3Dmark is pretty useless, we should better compare fps in games to see what is faster..

You should push your q6600 to 3.6

16515

Dang, I don't know how to post the 3dmark web URL, must I be registered to 3dmark?

3DMark Score 16515 3DMarks
SM 2.0 Score 6988 Marks
SM 3.0 Score 6615 Marks
CPU Score 5681 Marks

8800GTS 512 @ 830 / 2100 / 1900
q6600 @ 3.7Ghz

I'm beginning to think 15k is a quad only club:mad:
It certainly helps......add about 1500-1600 to your score ..thats about right for a quad....unless you have a monster overclock on the quad..then add more..:)

just picked up a XFX 8800GTS and Abit IP35 for my Q6600. Got the cpu at 9x400 for 3.6ghz and the 8800GTS running at 800/1050 core/mem.

Only did one run in 3dmark 06...

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=4690990
3DMark Score 16057 3DMarks
SM 2.0 Score 6731 Marks
SM 3.0 Score 6464 Marks
CPU Score 5587 Marks

Not bad considering at 3.6ghz and dual evga 8800GTs OC in SLI on my old evga 680LT board I was only getting 17,750 in 3d mark 06. This XFX 8800GTS outperforms my evga 8800gtx card I used to have.

Still putting this system on ebay as i like my Toshiba x205-sli1 better for everyday use.

Truth is that is BS when it comes to games performance....
OC'ed duo is better than Quad:p
