Has anyone ever heard of an incredibly small WU that only nets you 15 points each? According to my last update, my machine turned in two of them this morning.

http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=510276
(look at the table "Hourly Production" in the bottom right corner of the page)

Maybe this has something to do with bonus points. I just passed the 10 WU threshold in the last day or so.

i have seen a couple super small wu's. i forget the points and the time but they where here and gone in minutes.

I think they were several of the 2.53 Point WUs :)

Project 10099 is only 2.53 pernts :D

i remember when WU's were only worth a few points, funny seeing that again

I remember seeing similar small WUs over a year ago. They processed very fast even on older systems and produced decent PPD. What's good about them is they accumulate many WUs to one's total if you have many systems running them.

The plot thickens. I got home from work and found this in my log file:

Folding@Home

So it appears that the cores shutdown with an unstable machine error, but still gave me some sort of partial credit. After these two errors, the same machine downloaded a new WU and has been chugging on it all day without a problem.

I did update this machine to Mac OS 10.6 last night (notice the first WU is starting at 3%). Maybe that screwed something up, but if that is the case, I don't understand why it hasn't failed on the current WU (yet).

Currently, there are some issues reported with 10.4 and up (I think)
I know that 10.6 was brought up in the reports and they have been trying to resolve it.

delete the core, and force the client to re download it. Might be corrupt of something.

I'll do that when I get home this evening. Unfortunately, the mac client doesn't seem to recognize the -oneunit flag, so I'll have to pause it instead of waiting for it to finish the current WU.
