This is my first post since I started and the first pictures/video.

ALL PICTURES ARE NOW IN ONE SIMPLE HTML FILE, CLICK HERE

Started this project about 2 weeks ago. Working here and there in my spare time. If you have any questions please ask away. I will keep posting pics as I progress on this MOD.

Work Log:

April 4 2004 - Pained the inside of the case flat black for better UV reaction. Started LCD Mod.
April 22 2004 - Finished LCD Side Panel and Tested.
April 24 2004 - Started the wire management portion of the case mod. Wired all Fans that are going to my fan manager.

Later,

Frank

I suppose you could take a nice new 20" LCD and turn it into your side panel...it'd make lan parties easier...all you'd need to tote loose is keyboard (you could have it slide out from just under the top cover of the case) and mouse (if it's low profile like an old school Razor you could stash it in a 5.25 bay)

shit that is HOTNESS. thats something i'd definitly be interested in doing, cept i like to have my case as far away from me as possible. sound + heat.

great looking mod... as soon as u're done.. http://coolmon.arsware.org/ <--- Rock On
The LCD was free from work, a little user accident. The total cost of that LCD mod was about 20 bucks. 10 for molding, 5 for cutting wheels for dremel and 5 for misc hardware. I am getting the rest of my crap to finish the case today (I hope). Will post more pics as I go along.

Nice mod! Looks really good. How you runnin the monitor, direct off the VGA? That gonna be the primary monitor for the rig or you usin second VGA out for that?

Alos, case badges are for OEM's! :( Take that crap off o'there! Just like how I hate it when car dealerships put their stupid stickers on the back of new cars. Totally takes away from the clean look of the car or in this case, the case.

Yes, it will be second VGA out. I am using a digital out video card that shipped with the LCD. It will be hanging off the back of the PC descretely.

All badges are going to be removed.... badges..... badges, we don't need no stikin badges.

You should tint the other plexi piece, so it doesn't distract you from the beautiful LCD.

pretty sweet - I like the chrome molding...

Thanks! The molding came from CrazyPC and it was really easy to apply. I am going to use a small amout of bondo and my dremel to make perfect 90 degree angles and then use some matched paint to make it all look seemless.

I received the rest of my junk in the mail today!! Yea.... now I can finish this thing.

nice.. I think that is the first lcd in the side panel mod that I have seen that I actually like. :) gj
