Afternoon,

Figured this question would be better suited in Displays. The question is:

How can I setup 3 Korean 1440p displays for use in eyefinity/surround?

I've finalized my new build, except for video cards & monitors (refer http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1795872). Since I'm spending a pretty penny already, I'd like to go the route of triple 1440p. However, all the research I've done weighs on how to connect the 3rd monitor (DP to DVI-D adapter). I've read varied success from adapter working to not at all.

I'll admit, I'm not the best at knowledge when it comes to displays, and this will be my first multi-monitor setup, so I'd rather ask you guys :D

Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

Usually when I see someone run triple 1440P they go the nVidia route, because nVidia surround allows you to use the outputs on more than one graphics card in an SLI config. Hence if you have multiple cards you can avoid the need for adapters entirely and give each monitor its own dual link DVI port.

Eyefinity requires all monitors to be hooked up to one card so you do need adapters there. I don't know much about that which configurations are reliable and which aren't.

You will only need adapters if the three monitors don't have displaport. You will need an active dual link dvi adapter. They are about $90-100ish. 290x and 290 are better performs at high resoluti ok ns. 7680x1440 is pretty big.

I don't know of too many Korean monitors that have displayport. I think the one you can get from Microcenter has it.

IMO the bezels are always big on the Korean monitors. It's part of the reason why I got the VP2770 among many other reasons. Eventually I will get two more, but 2100 in monitors obviously kills your budget.

Either way you will want a nice triple monitor stand. I have one and it freed up so much space. You can get that at at later time though.

sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm trying to run 3 korean monitors w/ a gtx770 and I can only utilize both DVI ports, while the third is hooked HDMI and I get the error that they're not sync properly.

I've read that you can just use HDMI as your third input. Has anyone been able to hook up 3 Korean monitors successfully?
