I just replaced my QNIX 27" 1440p and want to use it as a second monitor for main PC and my work PC. However its only got one DVI port and nothing else (lol).

I see some basic DVI switches like this https://www.amazon.com/Manual-Switcher-Selector-Monitor-1920X1080/dp/B07489JJHF but they only show support up to 1080p.

I don't need a 100+ dollar KVM wiith kb/mouse support... just something to simply mechanically swap the cables for me. Anyone in a similar situation? Should any DVI-D switch work?

Thanks!

For 2560x1440p? It will need to support dual link. DVI-D is just the pinout. The D there stands for digital, not dual link. So you'll probably want to find something that supports DVI-D dual link (sometimes abbreviated DVI-D DL).

And if you're expecting to push past 60Hz, good luck with that.

The item you linked appears (going by photos, so take with grain of salt) to physically accept dual link. That does not imply it can handle the bandwidth needed for 2560x1440p @60Hz. You'll have to either try it or do research.
