Hi all,

I am after a laptop that has this native resolution, the best offering i have found so far is an IBM T43.. but it is very expensive..

II ahve also looked at an Acer Ferrari.. but the build quality was not to my liking plus it only came with XP home!

does anyone know of a good system i should look at?

the small / lighter the better

The dell 600m and d610 both are offered with a 1400x1050 screen as an upgrade. Both of these use a 14 inch screen. The Fujitsu LifeBook E8000 series has it on a 15 inch screen if I remember. The S7000 ones have it on a 14 inch screen. The fujitsu t4000 table has it on a 12 inch screen. The Portégé M200 toshiba tablets have it on a 12 inch screen as well. Humm I think the Tecra M4 does as well on a 14 inch screen.

The 12 inch tablets that have it are where it is at. I wish I had one. My 600m has the 1400x1050 screen and I love it.

I figure that will give you some to look at.
 
what is the widescreen equivalent of sxga+ ?

is it wxga+ ..

if so, what laptops have this resolution? in either 14" or 15" screen

My HP nc6220 in my sig has a native res of 1400 x 1050. In most reviews, it beat out the ones mentioned....so it's definitely worth checking out. I am very very impressed with this laptop.
 
The MPC T3100 and x3100 have a 1400x1050 resolution in a 15" laptop.
