Ok I havent done it in a while but I seem to remember that when instaling windows on a new Hd thats over 137 (namely 2kpro on a 160gig WD) when the instal asks for other drivers for raid, there was a driver instal that could be done that would clear up the problem.

I read the sticky, and it doesnt seem to say if playing with the registry will fix the HD that windows is instaled on. If I knew I was going to have to do this agian and not be able to find the answer to easly I would have saved the file "some place safe" or just named it well and searched for it.

Im trying to instal 2k pro on a WD 160gig, with a P4 2.4 on a Asus P4S533 mobo.

If anyone knows what Im talking about, or if playing with the registry will fix my problem, please let me know, if not then I guess I'll just partition it with 30 gigs for os and other instals and the rest of the place for data.

Thanks in advance

Install Service Pack 4 for Win2k then you should be able to see the rest of the disk space in the disk manager in Windows.

Also, the OP will have to manually enable the BigLBA support in the Windows registry (using the REGEDIT command). Even with Service Pack 4 installed, the BigLBA support is disabled by default, limiting the total addressable hard drive space limit to 137 billion bytes (~127GB in Base-2 GB).

ok so i guess, not, thanks for the posts, ill give that a try some time this week, and ill be sure to let you know how it whent down,
