13 degrees at idle?

I just upgraded from a Phenom II X4 975 Black Edition to a FX-8350. The phenom would idle between 40 and 50 degrees Celsius, not sure exactly because I thought that was normal. The FX idles at 13 degrees Celsius, and the difference honestly worries me. Did I somehow break my temperature gauge or is this normal? I don't think I've ever had a CPU that dropped below 30. =\

I did use the Asus auto OC tool to bring the Phenom to 4ghz, but I'm OCing the FX to 4.3 too.

The temp sensors are fairly inaccurate at idle loads. They get more accurate as the processor gets closer to its thermal limits.
 
just use speed fan. the core temps read really low on these new ones.. mines says its running like 15c till i get into speed fan and that has the normal readings of like 25c-30c idle and like 46 full load for multiple hours.. core temp reads low.. i got the fx 6300 its the same way. they do run pretty cool though.
 
Mine idles at 8-9 degrees...I wouldn't worry about it...
 
AMD idle temps have always been known to be inaccurate. I had multiple AMD cpus that would idle at 10-15C.

Load temps are fine, so just pay attention to those.
 
I have a 960T overclocked to 4,09 ghz and they idle at 19C. According to AMD overclock utility .
