Kinda screams BORG, doesnt it? Green UV LED 120mm fans all around, a superflower green 14cm 500watt PS, one of these in green:http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/scan/se=Lighting/se=Liquid Neon/mp=menu_search.html, corrugated wire wrap, borg applique, blinking red LEDs, sunbeam rheobus, UV SATA & ATA cables, thermalright XP-120w/ Red LED fan, etc.

But what would you guys mod on it/do with it? Im actually having a hard time thinking of anything else because it's just so obvious(the borg thing that is). All ideas will be considered.

hmmz.
That case looks like the mountain mods alien something or other computer case.
Except this case is arcrylic and looks fugly IMO. google mountain mods and see what i'm talking about. i'm too lazy right now. -g0at

personally for $200 + shipping I would try to make it myself...might not be as perfect as theirs but you have the pride in saying this is mine

Making a 13" cube is a PITA. I do work with acrylic, and trust me, the $200 is well spent. It would take me at least 6 hours of my time to make a cube like this, after measuring out, routing the pieces out, flame polishing the edges, etc. It would be around $30 an hour when I broke it down....buying it is worth my time.

I like the mountain mods cases, but they are huge! 13" cube = 2197 cubic inches, 18" cube = 5832 cubic inches!!! I already have a bunch of large cases...I want this one to be a desktop.

I remember the guy who makes those is registered here. Sounds like yer just pimping his link, maybe a dupe account OMG.......

or maybe yer just really enthusiastic about clear cases that are soooo last year. :D Personally I'd throw it away and build my own.

oh, so what's SOOOO this year? Al cases? Done it. Small? Silent? Done it. Never had a clear one though...thought I would try it...maybe put a nice water cooling setup in it with green UV dye and a UV CCL.

13"^2 is a lot bigger than you think. I made a 12" for myself, and it was bigger than i thought :(
If you're going to put a full ATX mobo in there i think you could design better, IMO

good point there diredesire...I have thought about making my own cases before and the first thing I ALWAYS do is build a mach up of all the parts and pieces just to see how they will fit and of the enclosure I was thinking of and 13" square is BIG

My cousin is currently building a case that will barely fit a full motherboard, and all the xtra space in the 13x13 is just a waste...if you are going for small and functional, you dont need to have the other dimension be 13 because nothing portrudes that far from the mobo + obtical drives can be mounted either way.

All this might be hampered by acrylic instead of good old wood.

This year the popular thing is making your own case :D

Ok, I have made my own acrylic case...only 18" high, 6" wide, 10" front to back (thats a 60square inch footprint, very tiny). I thought the cube look would look cool. It seems to get good airflow as well. Doesnt seem like too much wasted space cuz I plan on cramming a water cooling system in there too...the 2x120mm front works for my 2x120mm radiator, the pump can go above the power supply, and res in the same area. Seems I need the space this time...trust me, it's just right. Just looking for mods here...Maybe I should put a 6" LCD in the front of the hard drive cage.
