Wanted to know if anyone could help me solve an issue.

I have a media box in my living room.. specs are as follows:

All at stock speeds..don't need mega overclock for media stuff..

AMD 64 3000+
MSI Neo2 Platinum
EVGA GeForce 6600GT AGP
OCZ ModStream 450W
1G (512x2) OCZ Gold Gamer
200G PATA WD HDD
Hercules Game Theater XP
Liteon DVD-RW

I have a server in a colo that was crashing so I upgraded the hardware and RMA'd the power supply with Antec which was a 480W NeoPower. They sent me a 500 Neo HE..so I figured I would change out the power supply in my media center.. so I put the Antec in my media box... but realized I needed a 24pin power supply for my server..so I put the Antec BACK in my server and the OCZ ModStream back in my media box.. that is ALL I did..

Now my media box is crashing. It is not a reboot..it is a freeze.. Mouse/keyboard does not respond..cannot ctrl+alt+delete.. have to press reset button or shut down. The freeze happens when I startup sometimes... sometimes when I get into Windows...and sometimes when I am using it for 30-60 minutes... right now I am typing on it and it has been up for about 1 1/2 hours.

I have ran prime95 for about 2 hours and no crash.. I have ran memtest for about 6 tests (I think it ran for about 2-3 hours in memtest.. no errors..) I have ran the Western Digital diagnostic tool and it ran a thorough test which lasts 1 hour with NO errors...)

SO I was thinking it my be some sort of weird power supply issue... only because that was the ONLY think I changed...and I didn't even stay with the change.. It is the exact same power supply in the system... I have tried speedfan, mbm5, and Sandra... Sandra said the 12V was at 1.85..which is obviously bs. MBM said it was at 12.40.. which sounds very strange that I am ANY bit stable if that is right. Speedfan said the exact same thing..12.40 and didn't change. So I went into the bios and checked the voltage and it varies between 12.03..to 12.09..to 12.16. It stays in between those three values..

Is 12.16 or this weird fluctuation a possible reason it is giving me random crashes? I was never able to see what it was reading when it was 100% stable.. but I checked my server..and it stays between 11.97 and 12.03 constant. My main gaming box is the same thing which runs a 550W Mushkin Power Supply.. 11.97 to 12.05 or so..

What do you guys think?

Make sure all of the pins in all of the molex's are pushed all the way in,
especially on the ATX connector & those on the PSU.

Yeah, I tried that too...

But I just rebuilt the whole computer... took everything out, and put everything back in. Started to install Windows and it installed fine. Worked with it for 30 minutes or so, then it crashed in the same matter. so I said fug it... but since then it has not crashed on me, and it has been running prime95 and downloading a torrent. So hopefully the poltergeist that was running around in my computer has been cast out.. cross your fingers

don't you hate when weird, flaky issues just correct themselves? well..I guess it is better than when you can't solve them, and have to start chuncking money at it..
