+12V too low?

I know voltage monitoring software can be fairly inaccurate, but maybe this might be a little more than a misreading?

I just upgraded my motherboard and processor from a ASUS A7N8X Deluxe/XP2500+ to a ASUS A8V/A64 3500+, and the voltage on the +12V fluctuates between 11.187 and 11.297. The PSU is a 2 year old 400W Antec SmartPower that came with my 1040BII case. I hadn't noticed the +12V reading to be that low on the old motherboard.

Guess I'm wondering if this would be enough of a reason to get a new dual +12V PSU, or take a multimeter to this one to make sure it's all right or I really do need a new one. Thanks.

Step one multimeter....it is cheaper.

If multimeter bears it out then a new PSU.

To get voltages while it is running so you know what it looks like at load stick the probes into the back of the ATX connecter not the front like shown in this one above or look at the one below:

Checked the +12V rail using a molex connecter, and the multimeter read 11.9 volts, so that's good. Yay! I don't have to spend money on a new one!
