My -12v reading on my MBM5 says that it's -4.95. Shouldn't it be closer to -12.00? I don't remember it being like that before. I have a Neopower 480.
Thanks for any help.

MBM is wrong because your board isn't using the -12V.

software readouts of voltages arent to reliable anyway you should check them with a multimeter.
you mbm5 probably isnt setup right for your motherboard either.

It's not using the -12v? I configured mbm5 to work for my board (Asus A8N-SLI) by changing some of the code that I got off the DFI site. Some guy had written it. I have LCDC, and mbm5 is one of the few programs that works with it.

I don't care if God and Asus formed an alliance for writing MBM5 code. Your board doesn't use the -5V or the -12V. It's a bogus reading. Common problem. Ask anyone here what their -12V reading is on MBM, Everest, Speedfan, etc and it's going to be whack.

Thanks guys! So what do the -5v and -12v do, if they're used on other boards?
No modern PC's use -5V & the ATX PSU specs no longer even require it.

The -12V may still be used by some old/wierd PCI sound cards or something.
