i have the power supply in my sig and sisoft says my 12v rail is at -8.41

i go to check in my bios and it doesn't report -12v rail

i upgrade from sandra 2002 to 2005 and 2005 doesn't report the -12v rail either

anyone know of any other programs that are good to use to find out this info?

TIA

-12 V isn't used anymore. (Well some professional audio cards might use it for the proper +/- voltage bias but +/-5V is more common for that.
You can safely ignore both -12 and -5 unless you have some serious legacy hardware in your machines.

I have same problem with my Antec TP 430w and my comp is stable running a bunch of HDs, 6800 ultra and oc'ed CPU/memory :D

sweet, thanks

the hardware i have is listed below, so i should be fine, right?

TIA

well it wouldnt need the -12V
as far as OK that would depend greatly on your power supply :p

everything but my -12 and -5 are almost dead on
+12 =12.02
+5 =5.00
+3.3= 3.30
they are all that close

looks vunderbur ;)

of course you only trust software readings so far till your able to verify them with a multimeter
they all might be off by a bit from whats reported thats quite common, but rarely any great amount

Sandra does this.

Sandra gets it's Voltage info from the same monitors as the BIOS. So there is no advantage of using one over the other except for the fact that you have a very minimal load on the PC in the BIOS.

When Sandra gets NO READING on a rail, it gives you some crazy whack shiznit as a result. I've seen -12V reported as > -9V... I've seen -5V reported as > -3V!

YOU probably aren't using -12 at all, but I also guarantee that your -12V is NOT even CLOSE to -8.41. ;)
