Dangerden 12V or the Swiftech 12V? I've heard the swiftech is a revised version of the DD one, is quieter and slightly better. Which one should I get?

When Swiftech did the engineering work to quiet the pump down, they also got a sole distributorship from Laing (the pump's manufacturer). By now DD has run out of the old version of the D4, and is selling a MCP650 bought from Swiffy and re-badged.

So they're both the same pump then? Well, that certainly simplifies the matter. Seems kinda sad that DD is just reselling what is now a Swiftech pump. What was the difference between the new Swiftech and the old DD?

The old version had buzz/whine that really carried. The new one is quieter (but not completely quiet) and has a less annoying sound. A small amount of pumping power was lost in the process.

They are both Laing pumps. :)
